Already established as John J de Kock Estates Agency in the 1900's, the business was purchased by Clive Duffell and Tim Clampett in 1970. Both young men with young families took the bull by the horns and opened their doors as De Kock Estates. Over the years the business has grown from strength to strength and is a household name in property in False Bay. Clive Duffel has since sold his share of the business leaving Tim Clampett in sole ownership and control. With the rationalization of the ABSA Banking Group in 1998 the "United" Agency was disbanded and the business refocused on its core activity of property sales, management and development. After a brief membership of the "Homenet Group" in 1995 the company again reverted to its original name and purpose and at the same time expanding the property management portfolio to our 400 properties, body corporates and estates. A full time staff of 4 now manage this very active division (the largest in the Southern Peninsula). The Group has three offices covering Fish Hoek, Lakeside and Simonstown, each managed and staffed with resident consultants, and will continue to serve the community for many years to come.
