Originally started in 1991, by David Johnston, under the name Hire Action, however the small plant division was sold in 2005, together with the name rights and HIRETECH was formed, to incorporate the medium and larger plant. This company has grown over the past 3 years, providing equal opportunities to staff and supplying machinery to many prestigious contracts, including the 2010 airport upgrade and many more. In addition to the above, we were recently awarded a 3 year tender to supply the City of Cape Town with equipment. We are a fully registered private company, including workman’s compensation and VAT and have a BEE level 4 rating. We hire & sell construction equipment to the construction industry in the Western Cape and Boland. Our equipment includes: mobile crushing plant, air compressors and compaction equipment. We import our Rotair air compressors from Italy and are the sole agents in South Africa. These are used in our own hire fleet and have become the preferred units among our customers. They are ultra silent and very user friendly. All equipment fully complies with OHSA and we pride ourselves on supplying the latest equipment, with low hours in excellent condition, very competitive rates with after hours support. We at Hiretech are constantly looking for ways to improve on our very high standards and have now purchased our very own forging machine which we use to sharpen our chisels and moils. This ensures that the chisels and moils are sharpened and hardened without grinding, lasting much longer on site. We offer this service to our clients for their own chisels and moils too. The company also imports CRACK-IT, an expansive – non explosive mortar for rock and concrete demolition. It requires no permits or licenses and can easily be used by un-skilled labour.
